I'm a Tio!

Temple with Fabi amd her family
February 25, 2013

Familia,

WOW what a crazy week!! Tuesday night I got a text saying that I was a tio! I was super stoked!! Fabiana sent me a message letting me know. Haha they all told me she is precious and I was jealous that I didn’t see a picture yet! Haha!! Congrats everyone with the birth of BREE! I’m super excited for all of you!!! Enjoy it all!!! It will be a great experience surely!! Then on Wednesday I thought about karigan a lot for her birthday!!! Happy birthday!! Then on Thursday some sickness got a hold of me and didn’t let me get to far from the bed or bathroom. But I am doing a lot better now and a little skinnier. Haha
Thanks for all of your prayers for me and our investigators. I got a message from Pablo (the incredible investigator missing in action) He said he will be getting back this week and can’t wait to see us!! We will be praying hard for him!!
So the baptisms didn’t happen this week because the sister of abuela negra got sick and she went to visit her before she dies. So we moved it till this Saturday when she, lautoro and Raul will all be baptized. We are all really excited for them!! It will be a great day! Thanks for all the prayers!  Kade keep up the great work! Enjoy life!  Everyone enjoy every minute of every day!! Keep an eye on my niece!

I love this gospel and the joy it brings to me! I know Jesus died to save us and to be able to comfort us in our tough times. He will help us in the minute we ask!! Do all you can to share the gospel with all! Strengthen friends and family and members and non members. Everyone needs this gospel!!! Thanks for all you all do!!

Love, Elder Eppich Sr.

An answer to Prayer

Elder Eppich with  Fabi and other missionaries going through the Buenos Aires Temple
February 18, 2013

Familia,

Wow! What a crazy week!!! So last Monday we traveled to Ramos Mejia to go to the temple on Monday. We said goodbye to everyone. Elder Crowther was ready to leave but is going to miss the people and me of course. Haha I miss him as well. It’s weird not being with him. Then Tuesday we woke up early and went to the temple with Elder Fernandez and Nilsen from 25 de mayo. We got there at nine and then met them in the celestial room when the finished. It was awesome! The spirit was super strong!!  We saw elder Krause there and had lunch with him. It was an awesome time. Then elder Nilsen and I went to an area and started doing missionary work. We looked at a map and saw a calle and felt that we needed to go there. So we walked for about an hour and found the little street with 7 houses and we decided to find the person that was waiting for us because we knew someone was waiting for us. Knocked every door and nothing. Confused we turned the corner and found this woman and her son sitting down. I asked Como esta, and she just started bawling and telling us her husband was beating her and her son was scared and that they didn’t know what to do. I told her we were the answer to her prayer and that god had leaded us to her. The spirit was super strong!!! The spirit taught her a ton and she felt it super strong, and so did her son!! By the end they were asking us to be baptized so we set them up for baptism in a couple weeks! I was an incredible experience!!! Then on Wednesday we had transfer meeting and President Carter told me he was going to have me train but because the visas didn’t come he was going to give me a mini missionary so that when the visas get in he could send me the missionary. I received hermano Marcos from Moreno. He is 17 and a tiny little fella. He was baptized a year ago. Super good guy. It’s a good experience because I am able to teach him a ton about the gospel and what it is to be a missionary. He will go on a mission in a year!!I knew him when in was in la Perlita!! So we got back to Saladillo Wednesday night. On Thursday morning we went to work. First of all we went to abuela negra. I’m not sure if you remember her but she is incredible. She says in am the grandson she wished her grandchild were. She came to church again. She looks forward to church every Sunday and loves reading the scriptures. She is 84 or 87 in don’t remember. But super healthy. Reminds me of a combined grandma Edler and Eppich. Super friendly and loving loves to cook, a bit ¨healthy¨ and says the things how they are. She will be baptized this Saturday. Along with her neighbor lautoro and his grandma. And maybe Raul. In was cutting his hair in the pictures. We will have 2 baptisms this weekend with a possibility of 4. We will see!! We are doing great here and working super hard. We are going to see a lot of results from our hard work the past 4 months!! I’m glad to hear all is going well!! Love you all! Talk to you soon!!!

"I feel so blessed to be in the mission with my little brother Kade"

**Elder Eppich spent most of the day traveling to Buenos Aires. He and his companion get to attend the temple tomorrow with a ward member. He said he didn't have much time to write but I sure don't know why he had to tell me he got robbed.....I told him specifically i didn't want to know about anything like that! ha

We are changing lives!

This is our "missionary corner" in our home that Kraymer refers to. The corner began with me making the cardboard cutout of Kraymer for Kaitlan's wedding this summer. I couldn't throw him away after so we made a place for him in the home that turned into our "missionary corner". Kraymer wrote us a hand written letter after Kade received his mission call in November. He said the following in his letter "Two sons in different parts of the world, teaching the same message, with the same purpose of inviting all to come unto Christ" when I read that I knew exactly what I would do with his quote. I enlarged it on an engineering print and put it in our missionary corner. It is our daily reminder of missionary work and love.

Familia,

How are you all doing? How is the last week going for Kade? I hope the second time around will be a little bit easier for all of you! I am sure that it will be! Just remember that quote you all sent to me about missionaries, leaving their families for 2 years so that others can have theirs forever! That is what we do! 2 years are nothing! It passes so fast. I feel like it was yesterday when I was at Ki-be watching Kade and Karigan playing basketball and then the next morning I left! Now I have 13 months in the mission!
We had a pretty good week! We have some good investigators! We didn’t get any to church but this week we are going to have a ton!! I’ll give you a quick update on all of them.  So we have LAUTORO; ABUELA NEGRA, y Adith. They are all neighbors and they absolutely love us and the church. They know it is true and that it will meet all of their needs! The church meets all the needs of everyone, if they let it.  They didn’t come to church yesterday, were not sure why, they weren’t home, were hoping that all is good with them!!!
Then we still have Vanessa and Alejandro, but they left for vacations this week they will get back in a couple days luckily!!! Then we have Osmar y Maria Celia! They are hoping to get married in the next couple of weeks and then baptized right away! We are really excited for them as well. Then this week we found 3 families that seem really really good! We have lessons with them this afternoon and we are going to see how they are doing. They have a lot of potential. We have a ton of investigators. We need to prioritize a little better and focus on the ones that are ready right now and focus on them. The next couple of months should be months of a lot of baptisms!! This week lady from Paraguay is coming back! All her family is looking forward to return to church and her to get baptized! We’re really excited!!
So this is probably the last week Elder Crowther and I will have together. It has been a great 4 months with him! I have gotten really close to him, and we have learned A TON together. In these 4 months I have learned SO MUCH. It will be hard to have a change, but I know that the Lord needs us to change, so we will change. These 4 months together will surely change our missions and lives!!!
Next Tuesday we are going to the temple with Fabi! It’s going to be incredible!!!
I love the missionary corner!!!! I love that quote, I had forgotten about it. Hahaha thanks for all you do for me! Love you all so much! Take care! Have a great week! Good luck Kade! Go tear it up and do what the Lord wants you to do!   We are changing lives!!

Love, Elder Kraymer Eppich
